Job Summary

Stockton based company of 70+ years, looking for an experienced tanker-truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.

Total Compensation Package = $160k+

Owner Operators - Own your own truck (2017 and newer) - we will make you a fair market value offer!

Responsibilities

Transport liquid propane and ammonia to manufacturing plants or industrial plants

Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance

Plan routes and meet delivery schedules

Maintain Electronic logs

Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

Collect and verify delivery instructions

Report defects, accidents, or violations

 

Skills

Proven work experience as a tanker-truck driver (Min 3 years)

Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly (able to travel out of state periodically)

Experience with driving in snow & tire chains (preferred)

Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

No recent moving or driving violations

Adaptability and foresight to manage unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)

Commercial Class A License with Hazmat Certificate and All Endorsements required
